About Us

We are an  interdisciplinary team of researchers, pediatricians, and neuropsychologists from the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Pittsburgh,  and Seattle Children's Research Institute.

While care for children and teens in Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) across the US is high quality and safe, there are many things we still need to learn about how the PICU experience affects patients and families. We believe that children and families deserve the best care and support during this difficult time. The more we learn about how the PICU experience affects patients and families, the better care we can provide for extremely ill children.

From the research drop down menu above you can access information about our recent studies including information on enrolling your child, information for families and children who are already participating in studies, and publications and results from previous studies. If you have any questions about our research, please contact us.
